In a short month my family and I , as well as a few other family's are going to an awesome camping resort called Darien lake !!! It essentially is a camp ground that is attached to a theme park that has rollarcoaster rides and a fun water park that was even open on the may 24th weekend. The first day my family drove up pretty late so we couldn't do anything the first day like the others but it was still fun because we got to sit around a camp fire and share funny stories and catch up. There were lots of teenagers so we were pretty much gone till 8 in the morning until 1 the next morning because the theme park was open pretty late and the cost was included with the camping price. My favourite part was probably a really big rollar coaster called super man that I was so terrified to go on , but my good friend Liam kinda forced me which I thank him for!! I still remember being at the top like hanging on to him for dear life saying I "hate you , I hate you" he found it hilarious. And I really enjoyed the sweet shops that they sold candy apples and sooo many yummy things !! :D I can't wait !!!!!!
As a kid Disney movies were literally my life!!! I could watch them all day if I was allowed. My favourites were Mickey Mouse and beauty and the beast- I even had a princess set with "beautiful" dresses and highheels. Sometimes I would sneek in my moms closet and wear her purses and high heels to feel grown up . "Sigh" thoes were the days ......... Now sometimes I will look back at these movies but it sucks because most of what I have is needed for the VCR which dosnt really work anymore . But I find it's always nice to sit back on a cold rainy day with nothing to do and watch Disney movies like the lion king and eat junk !! In my opinion , if you haven't seen the Disney movies you haven't lived !!
On Wednesday our futures forum class went to a Tedtalk convention in kitchener Waterloo for the whole day! There were several good speakers that were passionate about their enterpretation on "chasing home" and there were some activities that we did at the beginning, which was the wave and a clapping game we did with each other. These activities got tireing pretty quickly when we did it like a million Times. But I really did enjoy the dancer performances at the beginning and the the few breaks we had in between to meet new people and trade business cards. My favourite speaker was a slam poet that connected hunger games and the real world it was very interesting to hear about . And the ocean warrior which by the way is only nine years old!!! We then had a lunch in a box which was made up of many verities and in my opinion was pretty good. The only thing I think they should change for next time is making sure there is wifi to tweet and shorten the time span . The Tedx went to almost 5. Overall it was a good experience and I would go again if the speakers were talking about more life stories then trying to enspire us to do a grand challenge.

This topic is related to the Holliday that is comming up in a few short days!! EASTER!!! It's a fun event based on religious views that children participate in Easter egg hunts and colour eggs for a fun breakfast in the morning. I always found Easter fun as a child and was soooo excited for the "Easter bunny" to come and fill our Easter baskets and put eggs around the house for us to find . Now that I'm older I found that obviously the magic has gone even with Christmas also but it's exciting when you have a small child in your house to have a glimmer in his eye as he walks down the stairs. Now that I'm older and am not a big chocolate eater my parents instead buy me like a shirt or shoes that I actually need instead of spending things on me I don't nessisarily want like dollar store chocolate. And as the months go by we still find random eggs around our house from the hunt unless the dog gets it first.......So to sum this all up I hope you have a great Easter with family and friends or even just an extra long weekend !!!
For about a year my family and I became really interested in a sport called motorcross. It like where a bunch of bikes with motors that all race and win championships and travel to many diffrent places for shows . This sport is loved by many including my little brother Andy , my parents recently bought him a bike and it seriously is a mini motorcycle its crazy that hes only five and they actually make things like that for his size. But they are illegal on city roads . My parents also bought him crazy expensive gear like these gloves a full faced helmet and he aslo needs special boots .But for now he rides it on a very low setting so it cant go very fast as well as equipt with training wheels because he hasn't quite got his balance either. But all i can say is as i walked into the living room one afternoon i was very shocked to see a motorcylcle type bike sitting in the middle of it . I thought my parents were going CRAZY!!!
But its actually quite amazing how fast he learned to drive it . So hopefully in the furture my parents were hoping to sign him up into the racing maybe not professionally but for fun. There is actually racing for them at this age training wheels and everything on small dirt tracks.I was thinking about something like this for me would be fun but my mind changed verrrry quickly when I learned even for his small bike it costed $1000 but my parents got a deal on it for $900. So i asked if you can him that why cant i have a crappy car when im 16 or 17? and apparently they are going to sell it in a few years again when my brother is too big for it and get the money back, so of course im going to have to find my own way. All i can say for my brother is have fun and mostly be safe!!!!!!!!!

So about a few months ago my family and i decided it would be a cool idea to see what it would be like to scuba dive. It was at this diving place called groundhog divers which is quite cute its a very small store that sells all the supplies you need as well as has a pool in the back of one of the rooms.As i got there we had to do a whole introduction course and learn the proper techniques to do so ;and some tips to keep you safe while under the water.There was also these two women who joined us for the training part which i was kinda nervous about at first.The scuba diving ended up being really fun and exciting, But first the instructor got us to put on the gear and then to sink under the water to practise the breathing which is obviously the most important part. There are two mouth pieces to use just in case if you cant find the other one and you are in an panic and he also got us to learn how to empty the water out of your mask if it gets flooded over in the water. I would say the trickiest part would be the sinking down because the pressure sometimes was very hard on my ears and whole nasal cavity so the instructor would tell us to do hand signals if anything went wrong and he would rise slowly with you in the water so your ears could become used to the pressure and no damage would be done. But after the whole training part and the instructor knew we were confortable he let us stand on the bottom of the pool and play frisby which was very fun and kind of a interesting feeling just like there was no gravity. Overall i would suggest this as a fun thing to do but scuba diving requires classes to just go anywhere and training which can get rather expensive but if you go to the right places it is completely worth it. For example like mexico or cuba anywhere with exotic fish and sea weed
This is an image on what you would be able to see once you were a fully certified scuba diver . Of course they wont take you there at first like 60m underwater ,you take baby steps like lakes in ontario and similar places but in the end these are the possibilities if you were interested .
Grey Hound Racing
So the topic of the day is grey hound racing . I actually adopted a grey hound named gable chick also known as "chicky" who is so loving you would never believe that she was once a neglected animal. When we got her she was one of the healthiest looking as well as beautiful !! She has a coat on her that is called brindle which is very smooth and shiny and her eyes just lit up when we adopted her and gave her a true home to be loved. But what we didn't realize at first was that her leg was broken during the time period of her racing career and he was just taken out of her cast a little while before. At first it was very hard for us all to adjust , she needed to be carried up the stairs and she was afraid of being alone for a short period of time as well as she was afraid of her own reflection . She now after having he about a year is happy and healthy but sadly that is not the case for thousands of grey hounds per year . They are all neglected , fed very poorly to about starvation and killed about 4 years into their life so a new batch can come in and race. None of this is about the grey hounds welfare it's all about greed and entertainment which in my opinion is not enjoyable seeing them being hurt on the race track because many have their legs broken or major injuries from other dogs competing . I really hope in the future this is all changed because if you walked into the grey hound rescue centre and saw all the large dogs in the small cages all day with their sad lonely eyes you would want to adopt them all!!!
The first topic I wanted to discuss was sir ken Robertson's idea on how school kills our creativity . This is in some cases true because school can be so structured and presented in a way where your true coulours can't shine through under all the text books and grammar. But now teachers have found a way to make the arts a big part of school like Eastwood for an example which is really help full and Let's kids be kids !! But sometimes I wished they applied that creativity in dryer situations like math class ! It dosnt have to be an art or dance studio but it would make math a very hated subject a little more tolerable if they presented it in a interesting way or any dry subjects for that matter so no ones talents are ignored anymore
